Two days to go to the 2010 edition of the 10K4N Challenge. I hope you're all ready for the run! We have been getting quite some sponsorships for our challenge at
http://www.firstgiving.com/10k4n2010 - but not enough. So for this friday, another fund raising tip.
What worked very well last year, was an e-mail campaign. Personalizing a standard message and send it to friends. It takes a bit of time, but it really worked quite well to raise more money; just asking your friends, family and colleagues directly to sponsor you. To help you out a bit with this, below you can find an example text. What I did was send a lot of my contacts this message, with a personal note in the first paragraph. Please help us raise more money for the Nanhi Kalis and send some begging mails to your contacts.

Dear <name>,
<personal message>
By the way, this Sunday I am participating in the 10K4N Challenge. In Europe, the US and India, me and many colleagues will run a 10K distance to raise awareness and money for the Naandi Foundation, and their Nanhi Kali project. The project enables poor girls in India to go to school and make their dreams come true. We are still looking for sponsors. Please consider leaving a donation at

Thanks!
